Buteo Books For Sale

Buteo Books, specializing in birdwatching, ornithology, and natural history, has been a mail-order bookstore since 1971, with a loyal and constantly growing customer base. With the surge in interest in birdwatching and online ordering during the pandemic, Buteo Books saw an increase in sales, and continues to be successful and profitable. This focused specialty and online presence has allowed Buteo Books to remain strong over the past two decades, when the environment for booksellers has become increasingly challenging. We also have a partnership with the American Birding Association, which gives us visibility and name recognition. Sadly, it’s time to retire, but we hope to see the store continue. With new, used, and antiquarian offerings, a sale could take many forms, including separating new and used. Sale includes our inventory, customer list including customer value data, and detailed inventory database and supplier contacts. Library adjustable metal shelving, heavy duty metal shelving and other fixtures also available, all located in Virginia.
