Simon & Schuster: Independent Retail Marketing Manager

Simon & Schuster’s Independent Sales Team is looking for a passionate book person to join in the role of Independent Retail Marketing Manager. Managing our well-established and multifaceted Simon Loves Indies marketing program, this position is a critical part of the Indie Team and reports directly to the VP and Director of Independent Retail Sales. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the bi-monthly Simon Loves Indies bookseller newsletter, title-specific marketing assets, pre-order campaigns, social media promotion, and creating sales tools for Indie Team, as well as conceiving and executing ongoing and seasonal marketing initiatives across imprints, such as Independent Bookstore Day, Indies First, and Banned Books campaigns. The Marketing Manager takes a lead in organizing the Simon & Schuster Selects Pre-Publication Tour as well as Simon & Schuster Selects Endpapers and other virtual events, and Simon & Schuster’s Winter Institute presence. This position works closely with Bookshop and, and is responsible for seasonal ARC and galley distribution to independent booksellers. This position works closely with each imprint’s marketing team to amplify their campaigns as well create new channel-specific initiatives in order to leverage marketing efforts into sales.
