Organization Overview
The Potter's House is a not-for-profit café, bookstore, and event space in the Adams Morgan neighborhood. Since opening its doors in 1960 it has been a key place for deeper conversation, creative expression, and community transformation. Our menu is made from scratch and plant-centric, while including something for everyone.
When you visit us, you can also give back with a donation to our "Pay It Forward" program, which ensures that our neighbors, regardless of circumstance, can enjoy something to eat. Each year we distribute more than 20,000 free meals.
