Binc Disaster Fund

Binc could offer assistance to any store under their new Store Disaster Recovery Program. This assistance is for any physical damage to the store (not covered by insurance or a landlord) caused by the disaster. These grants are intended to help a store re-open after a damaging storm and thereby keep booksellers earning a paycheck.
 
Binc also may be able to help owners or employees with personal household expenses. There are a few ways that the Binc Foundation may be able to help. 
  1. If employees or owners are displaced from their homes due to the storm and need financial assistance to move into a new or temporary residence and are unable to cover the associated expenses, the bookseller may apply for assistance.
  2. If any employee lost more than 50% of their weekly work hours due to the storm (this can be from storm-related store closure or the employee's inability to get to work) and this is causing a financial hardship, they qualify to apply for assistance.
  3. If a store's community is raising funds to help out any individual employees, Binc could provide a matching grant for up to $2,000. The Matching Grant can be in addition to the individual financial grants mentioned above.
